Hands on with the B550 Vision D motherboard, a beautifully designed motherboard for content creators

With the increasing demand for content creation, GIGABYTE launches a new B550 VISION D motherboard for content creators, supporting AMD processors for impressive power but at the same time. no less edge in eye-catching design.

Unlike the GIGABYTE Z490 VISION G that possesses a powerful, modern design, the B550 VISION D follows a slightly smoother design but still no less refined. Still the two basic white-black tones, but not boring together, the GIGABYTE B550 VISION D does not look strange but still attracts the computer fan, especially a little bit. Something glamorous without a lot of pitfalls besides other gaming motherboards.

B550 VISION D is equipped with 12 + 2 phase VRM. flow. Even when overclocked, it can still perform well since the VRM system splits evenly across the two sides of the CPU and is cooled by two large, split-sized heat sinks, ensuring the entire build. always cool and stable to meet the creative work that "plans" a lot of device performance like playing games at full capacity.

The motherboard is equipped with 4 RAM slots that support up to 128GB, not only that GIGABYTE also equips memory ECC to correct data errors when being loaded into and out of RAM memory, reducing error situations when you run Apps that matter and give more peace of mind when you're unleashed on your creativity.

B550 VISION D also has 2 PCIe 4.0 slots with one slot with x16 bandwidth, one slot with x8 bandwidth. Both bandwidths are armored for added rigidity, anti-bending, and anti-interference. There are also 2 M.2 NVME slots with one top slot supporting PCI-Express 4.0 protocol, the lower slot only supports PCI-Express 3.0 protocol. Both slots have heatsinks to cool the SSD.

Finally, on the ports, the B550 VISION D is still fully equipped with ports, but especially the 2 USB Type C ports of the board use Intel Titan Ridge controller, meaning these two ports are Thunderbolt 3. Although GIGABYTE's side does not advertise any of these ports. Thunderbolt 3 is proprietary technology from Intel and Apple, but having an AMD motherboard is quite a strange thing, but nonetheless this is also a bargain for users. GIGABYTE B550 VISION D motherboards currently have a listed price of VND 7,250,000.

Using the TLP250 Isolated MOSFET Driver - Explanation and Example Circuits

I’ve already shown how to drive an N-channel MOSFET (or even an IGBT) in both high-side and low-side configurations in a multitude of ways. I’ve also explained the principles of driving the MOSFETs in these configurations. The dedicated drivers I’ve shown so far are the TC427 and IR2110. Some people have requested me to write up on MOSFET drive using the very popular TLP250. And I’ll explain that here. The TLP250, like any driver, has an input stage, an output stage and a power supply connection. What’s special about the TLP250 is that the TLP250 is an optically isolated driver, meaning that the input and output are “optically isolated”.
