Mustang Mach-E here next summer

Ford's Mustang Mach-E all-electric SUV will be on sale in summer of next year in Ireland, with a starting price of €50,000, writes Brian Byrne.

In a departure from the traditional way of buying cars, the Mach-E will be sold exclusively on-line, though customers will have the option of going to their dealer and having them process the purchase for them. For those who go the online route, they will nominate a dealer from whom they can collect their vehicle or have it delivered by them.

The car will be available with rear-axle or dual-axle motors setup, the latter providing AWD capability. Acceleration will be at supercar levels, with a 0-100km/h sprint possible in as little as 3.7 seconds. Standard and extended range variants will be available, the latter giving up to 610kms between charges. Three drive modes will offer a range of driving styles, bannered Whisper, Active and Untamed. The AWD version will have a shorter range of up to 540kms.

Connectivity technology will include a new generation of Ford's SYNC system which allows more than 80 vehicle settings to be customised. Prior to taking delivery of their car, owners will be able to programme a wide range of preferences online so that when they get into the car it will already be set for their profile.

There is an 8-year/160,000kms warranty on the battery. A year's free access to the IONITY fast-charging network will be provided to all Mach-E customers. Home wallbox chargers will be available ion two outputs.

Using the TLP250 Isolated MOSFET Driver - Explanation and Example Circuits

I’ve already shown how to drive an N-channel MOSFET (or even an IGBT) in both high-side and low-side configurations in a multitude of ways. I’ve also explained the principles of driving the MOSFETs in these configurations. The dedicated drivers I’ve shown so far are the TC427 and IR2110. Some people have requested me to write up on MOSFET drive using the very popular TLP250. And I’ll explain that here. The TLP250, like any driver, has an input stage, an output stage and a power supply connection. What’s special about the TLP250 is that the TLP250 is an optically isolated driver, meaning that the input and output are “optically isolated”. The isolation is optical – the input stage is an LED and the receiving output stage is light sensitive (think “photodetector”). Best way to fix SVN error "Could not start external diff program"

One day you found that the SVN Diff function didn't work, you will see the error "Could not start external diff program" when you try to compare 2 versions of the file (the working item vs the one on repository). This could happen on both Windows and Linux, Mac OS... Don't worry, it's not caused by OS but sometimes due to the update of the diff tool (e.g Beyond Compare 3 is updated to Beyond Compare 4), this makes the link to external diff program in SVN settings not valid anymore. So how to fix this error? Just follow the steps below: 1. Right-click a SVN file (it can be any file with SVN version mark) 2. Select TortoiseSVN -> Settings -> Diff Viewer 3.
